[Motochika folds a blanket as he speaks, on the dining room table. A small basket is nearby. There is an anticipatory glint in his eyes, though what he is waiting for is anyone's guess.]
We are returned to our rightful bodies. A relief, certainly, but did you not find the experience to be insightful?
[When the blanket is folded small enough, he

This is ridiculous.
Reply
I do not deny it.
[He places the folded blanket into the basket, and closes the basket, securing it.]
Reply
I suppose I should at least be grateful the nail varnish came off.
[He takes a seat and folds his arms.]
Reply
[It's a guess, but a very obvious one. Motochika stands and gestures idly with his bachi, before he tucks it under his waist sash, securely.]
I would not permanently alter your appearance.
[He reaches for the basket and lifts its handle unright.]
Reply
[Mitsuhide watches Motochika move, but does not comment on his actions. His voice softens a little.]
I know that, my Lord.
Reply
Let us leave that in the past.
[He then walks round to Mitsuhide, and with his free hand he grasps Mitsuhide round the wrist. He gently tugs, upwards, so that the basket does not slip too far as he does so.]
Come, my friend.

Where are we going?
[It's kind of obvious that the basket must contain food, but their actual destination remains a mystery to him.]
Reply
[Motochika lets go, with a brush of fingers, and leads on. He has a feeling that Mitsuhide would not appreciate being dragged through Vatheon's streets, especially on top of everything else this morning.]
Reply
[While moving through Vatheon he finds himself looking down at the clothing he is wearing. It's a pleasant colour indeed, though he is remains unsure that such rich shades suit him.]
[Perhaps he might keep it anyway. Perhaps.]
...
[An almost inaudible chuckle. It is as he said earlier; it really is ridiculous, but maybe it is best to try and be amused about such a situation.]
Reply
He stops and places the basket down, then turns to properly face Mitsuhide. He sweeps out his now free arm in an open gesture.]
We are here.
Reply
I have not seen this part before.
[Andddd he opens his eyes again and looks at Motochika.]
It is not surprising. I know you explored further than I.
[A small smile.]
What did you bring with you?
Reply
Why not see for yourself?
[It's perhaps half-and-half; familiar japanese food on one hand, and bright or interesting looking Vatheon food on the other. Go wild! There's also plates, some sake and the appropriate cups and utensils. And possibly one of Mitsuhide's books snuck in there, taken during last night's wardrobe raid.]
Reply
I do not think I shall drink much.
[He finds the book and draws it out, placing it beside him before returning his focus to the food within.]
You have certainly provided a fine breakfast, my Lord.
[Oh, where to begin?]
Reply
Consider it lunch too. You have no other plans for the day, do you?
Reply
No, my Lord.
[Spend the day here, with his friend? It was a fine idea. He loved being in the forest, especially in the company of Motochika. It felt like they were at home again, together. Alive. Without the troubles and pain of war and politics to bother them. His expression and voice turn soft.]
Remaining here would be good.
[And he pulls our something to eat!]
Reply
Excellent.
[He begins to play a tune -- light and warm, like sunshine on a lazy shore, a gentle ebb and flow to it.]
