It appears Mitsuhide and I fell asleep unexpectedly, for an unnatural passage of time.
I've noticed that the number of locals has halved since I was last out in the streets. What happened? Did those beasts turn on us?

[More importantly:]
I have heard there was an attack. Are you unharmed, Gracia?

[ She nods gravely. ]
There were a lot of attacks before the final one. The dinosaurs...they started attacking the locals. [ A sad frown. ] I saved those I could, but they have such thick hides. [ And for a hand-to-hand fighter, even with the use of magic, it was a difficult task. ] The three biggest, most dangerous dinosaurs appeared at the end of the week. All of us had to fight as a team to protect the city! They're gone now, thank goodness.
[ Gracia glanced at her bandaged hands and laughed~. ] I'm fine! I've handled much worse than this!

[Mild amusement colours his tone.]
If you stubbornly bear any wounds, keep in mind that it is better for you to approach your father and make them known than it is for him to confront you.

Kinda lucky you were zonked out, though I don't know how you could sleep through something like that.

I could not say myself. You were involved in the battle, I take it?

Yeah. Went up against the T-rex.

Are you both well?

Have you an idea what caused such a long sleep?

It is not an uncommon condition. Gracia herself fell into a long slumber, before she came to live with Mitsuhide and I.

More beasts showed up. [A beat.] The kind that live on meat.
[He's using this correctly, right? Between his previous experience with the thing and what he's seen of others handling it, his voice should be going through.]

Had Vatheon not swept under so many warriors willing to take a stand, the city might not have survived.
[A hint of curisity seeps into his tone.]
I do not recognise your voice. You must be a recent arrival.

[On his end of the line, he stares. This one's quite sharp.]
Seems that way, doesn't it?

You are right. Survivors move on, and the world is kept in motion.
[If nothing else, the language quirk makes Motochika certain that his assessment is right.]
Very few go without their SFCs to hand for any length of time.
