Whoa!

Go to Google Maps for directions and check out one of their new features: Walking Directions!

Yup!

You can get directions for if you're driving someplace, or if you're walking there. Sweet!!

The directions I tested when looking this up were to a place miles away in Glendale. 21 miles and 34 minutes by car, 18.5 miles and 6 hours, 17 minutes on ( Read more... )

Whoa, that's cool that they have walking directions now! Although it doesn't look like it supports shortcuts like walking through a parking lot or a yard.

Sorry I didn't make it to your play, it's been a busy few weeks. :-/ What are you rehearsing for now?

One of the guys from "Wait Until Dark" was cast in a short film that's filming this weekend and apparently they lost access to the girl who was going to play his drunk, partying girlfriend.

Naturally my name sprang immediately to mind and I was cast on the spot. :P

It's a comedy in the style of an old silent movie. Should be a lot of fun. We rehearse every night this week, costume parade's on Friday, and then we shoot through the weekend. My buddy who got me into this thing tells me the guy directing is a good guy, does good quality work, so I'm looking forward to it. :)

Maybe later I'll post one of the totally unattractive, "oops I blinked but it doesn't matter" costume pics they took of me yesterday. Very fun. :D

I went out to see the walking directions that you described and I picked my home in the falls and my work address downtown by the lake and third option appeared, "by Public Transit". You are so very smart. Unfortunately, the From and To locations need to be near bus lines that they know about. I couldn't route myself from here to Waukesha on public transit.
