I don't normally watch your vlogs while at work but I today I decided that I needed the enjoyment. You are so very funny that I laughed out loud. You are the only person I know that could spend 6 minutes to tell us so much and yet so little.

I believe I figured out the play and the venue from your vague descriptions. The last I heard, someone that we both know is interested in auditioning as well. (I can be vague too!) I haven't completely finished the script but the film is very entertaining. I think you should go for it. That venue usually has quality shows and wonderful people to work with. I'd come and see you in it if you got the part.

I'm not exactly the right age for the part but I was thinking about auditioning for the fiance role. (If I am right about which show you are talking about... If not, disregard my entire comment)

And yes- it sounds like you've got the right show in mind.

The unknown director variable is really getting me. I've got two folks in mind who have directed there in the past who I'm not terribly interested in working under, but until I know if they're doing it or not it's sort of hard to even *begin* deciding whether or not to try out.

I'm thinking of aiming for the photographer...

While talking w/ the MAD about two weeks ago, he indicated that director had not been picked yet. But his options didn't included anyone that had directed there recently as far as I recall. I seem to remember him talking about Bryce Lord but I don't remember if it was for this show.

The photographer would be a good part for you. She has that irreverent sarcasm.

Bryce? That would be interesting. If there was a way of knowing it would be him, I'd commit today to auditioning.

I asked a friend of mine who has directed there if he had any idea since I figured he'd probably be directing there again this season. We spoke just last week and he said he didn't know that a final decision had been made yet either.

I found out who's directing! And after a bit of quick- and immediate!- Googling, I now trust the situation enough to head over there and audition.

I just so hate the thought of ending up with someone who's bad in a way you're unlikely to find out about until you're involved, you know? I know it's unavoidable, but I can still hate the thought of it can't I?

Like someone who's a jerk to their crew but no one will talk about it because they think it makes them sound jealous, or who's so overcome by their own "artisticicity" that they can't focus long enough to block more than a page a night but no one will talk about it because they think it makes them sound like Philistines. It's nice- when it's an option- to be able to background-check people before getting involved. :D
