Communication: The smart way to function.I have a story about two people. Let's call them 'Bob' and 'Jane'. They made me realize how ridiculously easy it is to go from content to angry with nothing but good intentions involved

OMG. A classmate of mine was telling us all the horrific story of the Oozinator one day, and I didn't believe him. Until now.
I know a few Janes in my own life, and what annoys me about people like that is the fact that they expect everyone to know what they're thinking. Like, the fact that Bob thought "not there" meant "not that spot on the table"? Bob's own fault. In Jane's mind, he should've known she meant "not on the table at all", and his lack of common sense is another thing that makes her angry. She gets frustrated because not everyone thinks like her, not everyone's brain is on the same crazy wavelength that hers is. Certain things are common sense to her that are not common sense to others, but instead of clarifying it, she just assumes that everyone knows what she means instead of explaining. Or something

Okay, first point I'd like to make is that whole the-world-is-not-black-and-white. Sure, we can say it's easy to just say, "Don't put the pan on the table" but how do you know when a situation warrants the knowledge of your motivation? You might tip over into that annoying person that won't stop talking about themselves, though it could be argued that there's a difference between discussing motivation and random shit.
Regardless though, I do believe that people become so stuck in their own world that they become oblivious to the real obvious- that people think/do things differently and assumptions (especially ones that lead to negative feelings) shouldn't be made. And I don't think it's just 'those annoying people'.. I think everyone does it. Absolutely everyone. I mean, if we understood people's motivations for being and doing and living and blahblah I think people would get along a lot more easily. Or we'd become a society of over-sensitive pansies.
I kinda wish the flinging of the noodles of necessity was more plausible o_o
But! I want to take this opportunity to let you know that my mother is practically out of her mind with joy over the cumbia cd you put together. In fact, I haven't listend to it for weeks because she confiscated it! Hehe.
