And what do you mean no marketable skills. You have tons of management experiences. It doesn't matter what the business is. You could handle any supervisory position anywhere. Now how to get people to see that? Hmmm.

people don't see it.. they see.. 10 years of foodservice so i must be too stupid or socially inept to get a job elsewhere.

You need to be in the right place for school to work out sometimes, it's hard to be secure in yourself when parts of your life are in turmoil. It will happen in time for you I hope. It does seem to be the route up the ladder of life, so to speak.
In the meantime, leverage your skills in food service as best you can to at least get the best job in food service available. Whatever is the least back-breaking and best paying...catering? bartending?
