"Ronnie, Ronnie! It's burning!" Logan said loudly. Veronica's eyes widened in fear as she quickly ran across the kitchen and shoved a frying pan off of the burner, turning the fire off. Logan sighed, picking a runny pancake out of the frying pan and looking at it.
"I don't think I did this right," he commented.
"I'm going with no," Veronica agreed, laughing. "How are the eggs?"
"...They're yellow," Duncan stated, handing Veronica a plate.
"They look right," Logan said. Veronica nodded in agreement.
"So we have eggs, runny pancakes and burnt bacon. We could open a restaurant."
"We'll make millions," Logan told her. "Maybe if I try cooking them a little longer. You should cook some more bacon."
"Do we have any more?" Veronica asked him. Duncan turned the fire off under the eggs and opened up the refrigerator, pulling out a bag of bacon and tossing it to Veronica. Before she had a chance to realize that he had tossed it, the package hit her square in the face and dropped to the ground. Veronica's jaw followed it as the boys began cracking up.
"You hit me with raw meat!" she yelled at Duncan.
"Sorry," Duncan said, shrugging. Veronica shook her head and picked the bacon up off of the ground.
"Liar," Veronica muttered.

Lilly woke up scared. Of course she did, something was burning. Her first thought was that the house was burning down. She began to panic, jumping out of her bed. Lilly was half way to the door when she heard her boyfriend shout Veronica's name, exclaiming that something was burning. She waited in her doorway for a second before she was hit with another whiff of the smoke, catching a hint of bacon mixed in.
"They're... Cooking?" Lilly asked herself. Her best friend, boyfriend and probably her brother were making breakfast. That was a bit too scary for her to even begin to think about. When she heard Veronica scream something about being hit with raw meat and the boys laughing hysterically, she became quite concerned, mostly for the kitchen. Walking back into her room, she pulled on a pair of jeans and one of Veronica's shirts -- Veronica and Logan had stayed over the previous night -- and ran a brush through her hair before heading downstairs to make sure her friends didn't end up more injured than they probably already were.

"Put down the spatula," Logan said, holding a plate in front of his face and Veronica walked closer to him. Duncan dove between the two holding a roll of paper towels and crash landed into a large pile of syrup next to the counter. Veronica and Logan stopped their fight and looked down at him.
"Stuck?" Veronica asked. Duncan nodded.
"Little," he said. Veronica sat the spatula down, glaring at Logan as she did. Duncan pulled himself up, strings of syrup still connecting him to the floor.
"Why'd you dive into a pile of syrup?" she asked him, pulling several paper towels from the roll and setting them on the floor to soak up the syrup. Duncan stood up the rest of the way and quickly moved to the sink, trying to wash the syrup from his hands and arms.
"I was trying to stop the bottle from falling, but then I hit the grease from where Logan dropped the plate.." Duncan explained. Logan looked at Veronica.
"You think we're going to banned from this place?" he asked her.
"Probably," Veronica said. "Hopefully we'll get it cleaned up before the parents get back." Duncan peeled his syrupy t-shirt off and tossed it in the sink, now filled with soapy water.
"We should clean up," he said.
"Well this is alarmimg," Lilly said, entering the kitchen. Logan was still holding the plate in one hand, leaning up against the counter the three had placed their food on, Duncan and Veronica were busy loading sponges with soap and water while Duncan's shirt soaked and the kitchen its self was covered in syrup, dry pancake mix and dirty dishes. The three turned around quickly, dropping what they were doing and plastering on fake smiles.
"We made breakfast," Veronica said weakly, her smile slipping from her face. Lilly just laughed at them.
