I'd bang my head, except that'd probably make me puke

I'm so friggin' sick of feeling nauseous. Most of my day has been taken up by being sick today. I'm *really* sick of this nausea/vomiting at random times thing. It's so reminiscent of the first day of my period when I was a teenager before I got on the pill, but it seems to be happening like a week or so after my period ENDS. WTF? I'm having ( Read more... )

Thanks. Me, too! The only reason I think it might work is that this nausea is sooo similar to the nausea I used to have w/female time that basically went away when I started b/c pills. We'll see. I'm going to bring it up w/my doc this week. *sigh*

my migraines tend to be affected by hormone flucuations in my cycle so maybe you could try going back on BCP and see if it helps your nausea...good luck

I get migraines related to that, too. We shall see. I'll ask the doc, and see what she says. Thx.

Have you thought about a hormone-free IUD like the paraguard?

The problem with that is that I need one of the hormones to help control the symptoms I'm having. The relief of those is the only reason I'd consider going back on b/c of any kind (we've been doing non-prescription methods since I went off the pill a year ago).

Thanks for suggesting that option, though - it made me research some of the options out there. I just don't think the hormone-free ones would help what I need them to. What I *have* found is that what I probably need is a progestin-only (sp?) b/c rather than one that includes estrogen, too (which most pills do). I found that it's the estrogen that causes the raise in triglycerides. I'm definitely bringing this up w/my doc at my appt tomorrow.

The Mirena has hormones. Only progesterone, just like what you're looking for. The Mirena is the one that I have. I was suggesting the Paraguard because I thought you didn't want hormones. But, if you want to stay away from estrogen, then the Mirena is the way to go.

That's a great idea. I'll ask my doc about that one. Thanks for the suggestions!
