I'm doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) again this year. I skipped it last year but did it the year before and loved it (I'm still working on that novel, btw). I did NaNoWriMo in 2003. It was fun. The book kind of sucked because it was missing a plot and... I decided that re-writing would be easier. I considered doing it again this year but I didn't make plans soon enuogh. :) Good luck!

The year I did it, there were about four or five LJ friends who were all doing it at the same time. We annoyed the crap out of everyone else, I'm sure, by posting at length about procrastination, word counts, etc. hehe. Good times! :)

I did ZERO planning except to put a reminder that it was coming up on my calendar. I didn't have a concept or plot or even a setting until I sat down to type last night. It seems to be going pretty well so far. We'll see! Thanks! So much fun! :)

did you ever publish your novel from last year? i remember you posted lots of excerpt but i never got to read the whole thing.

good luck! i can only do NaBloPoMo, so writing a whole novel is a great accomplishment!

No, but I'm still working on it. I've added quite a bit since that NaNo, but it's still not 50,000 (I think I'm in the late 30s). I love how it's progressing. Next time I add to it, I'll try to figure out a way to share the whole thing (or maybe a chapter at a time or something?) - if you have ideas about that, please let me know?

I'm pretty excited! Guess we'll see. I forgot about the blog ones. Cool!
