Meisa loved art museums, really, she did. But she liked going there to explore and perhaps sit and ruminate in front of a painting. They were not meant to be rushed through in order to fill stupid busywork for a lower division course. A course that she technically could have opted out of, but had decided it couldn't hurt, the professor was supposed to be good. Little did she know that the new professor teaching the course favored giving busywork over teaching. "One more week," she muttered, plopping down on a bench. "I'll give it one more week before I drop the class."
A glance around told her that the zoo was nearly closing. Actually, with the lack of any human bodies around, it probably was closed. Shoot. Quickly getting up, she tried to remember which way was out. Weird that security or a zoo employee hadn't said anything. Though there was that notice-me-not spell she had cast to avoid being bothered while clearing her mind at the zoo (so different from museums in its openness and noise level). She was speeding up her pace, closer

Aiba was about to turn the corner that would lead him back to the main buildings when someone ran into him out of nowhere. And it really was nowhere, he hadn't seen her coming, but Aiba just blamed that on the fact that he was too busy looking up at the clouds.
"No, no, no, I'm perfectly okay, definitely okay," he replied with a nervous giggle as he rushed to reassure the woman. It took more than a bump to the back to rattle him. "Are you alright?" he asked, noting the embarrassed look on her face. He reached down with his free hand to help her back to her feet.
One eye opened at the sound of a giggle to reveal the knees of the person she had bowled over. Through her open eye, Meisa peered up and saw the guy's concerned face looking down at her before a hand was thrust down for her to take.
"I'm fine," she squeaked out. Just super embarrassed. Finally she opened the other eye and took the offered hand, letting the guy help her up. Flustered, she took to the task of brushing debris from her clothes. "Are you sure you're okay? It's totally my fault. I should've looked where I was going instead of running pellmell. I'm so so sorry."
He seemed friendly enough, maybe he wouldn't get angry at her if she confessed that she had stayed past closing. Meisa chewed her bottom lip, debating.
Aiba peered at her closer, just to make sure that she really was okay. Satisfied that she was telling the truth, he let go of her hand. "I'm definitely okay," he replied with a cheery smile. "I have animals pouncing on me all day, so this is nothing." Aiba took a step back, and watched as she brushed herself off.
"Where were you going on such a hurry? Late for an appointment?" As much as he wanted to get to know each and every person he met, he didn't want her to get into trouble for being late.
"Ready~" Meisa replied cheerily. "Good night sea lions~ Sleep well! Maybe next time I visit I can see you do some tricks!" Hmmn. Maybe best to add, "And if the cranky guard comes around again, please don't tell him that I'm here." She folded her hands and bowed her head in supplication until Aiba was done with his goodnights. Lifting her head up, she looked at Aiba with a sheepish expression. "It doesn't hurt right? I mean, he probably can't talk to animals, but what if he could?"
Meisa held out her hand. "Lead the way o fearless leader!" she grinned.
