It wasn't supposed to be like this.
Jin was what many people in Japan would call a God. He was something to be feared, admired, loved. He wasn't some mutt who couldn't make a living, whining constantly while living on the street.
He was a great beast, and for all purposes, he was practically road kill now.
Turning, struggling faintly as the man held him close to his chest, he choked back a whimper. His eyes felt unfocused and for a lack of a better description, he felt...dirty. His fur was clinging to his skin in weird wet ways, and he could only imagine what that meant. Yellow eyes were wide as his head lifted to stare at the passing buildings and lights. These people who had the nerve to hit him had the nerve to take him somewhere!
He'd never felt more powerless to stop them either. He growled, squirming before tensing against the pain. Though, all he managed to do was cause the man holding him in his lap to lightly stroke the thick fur around his neck. He was saying something, but that wasn't important right now. The woman was chatting excitedly and the hand left his fur to point.
They must be there.
As soon as the door open, Jin tried to bolt, but apparently that wasn't on the man's agenda. He growled again. Damnit, he wasn't a dog. He tried to snap, but the angle just wouldn't allow it. His head turned out of the lights as the man struggled to keep him up long enough for the woman in purple to stab him...right in the neck.
He barely had time to register that these humans fucking SUCKED, and more of them were coming! At least it wasn't long that he had to suffer the thought as the pain subsided and his eyes closed.
