okay so i'm so lame i'm gonna ask for your help again in order to know a few words i'm not sure how to say in english.
it's for my documentary again.
i'm gonna go to the library tomorrow but if i can have fewer words to look for, that'd be pretty cool, because i find it hard to concentrate in libraries.

gravier: gravel" ou "bit of gravel"

dentelle: "lace"

potager: "vegetable garden" ou "kitchen garden"

exaltation : (surexitation) "intense excitement" "elation" "overexcitement" // (mystique) "exaltation" // (glorification) "extolling" "praising" "exalting"

piquet: Si tu fais référence à un tuteur pour faire tenir les plantes droite, c'est "stake"

éphémère: (animal) "mayfly" ou "ephemera" // (adj) "fleeting" "short-lived" "ephemeral"

sève: "sap"

assemblage: "assembling" "putting together"

humus: "humus" ?

Toutes remarques sont à adresser à Robert&Collins ! ;p

Bon courage !

gravier: yup, gravel

dentelle: lace, I think

potager: no idea (no ditionary handy)

exaltation: exaltation (though there are probably more common expressions)

piquet: stake is best, though we do have 'picket'

éphémère: ephemeral

sève: tree-blood! Well, really we say 'sap'...

assemblage: that's when you gather several elements to make a whole. in this case you gather several brandies to make one single brandy.

humus: if it means black dirt, we say 'humus', it it's made from garbanzos and you put it on a falafael, it's also 'humus' (though there are several spellings)

assemblage: mixture, concoction (I think there are many ways to say this)
