Yes ; ; he killed Dumbledore. I don't think Dumbledore was pleading for his life though... I think he was pleading for Snape's life. I'd like to smack Professor Snape seven ways to Mars for taking that oath. I have to wonder if he really knew what he was agreeing to when he agreed to it or if he was trying to get more information by pretending to be so well informed. Irregardless, at that moment he agreed that if Draco failed to kill Dumbledore he would either do it himself or forfeit his life x.X
My guess is that the potion had no cure although.. maybe it did. But Dumbledore wanted Severus to kill him instead of Draco, to keep Draco whole and innocent. It upsets me however that Dumbledore once again used Severus and now Snape's soul is torn in two (I hope it's only torn the once!!!). As for the hatred, like Snape said Potter doesn't have it in him to cast an unforgivable, and I'm guessing Snape had to try very hard to come up with the strength to cast Avada...
And wow my dad was totally right ^^; back when we were both in the 200s he said 'Snape is the half blood prince'. Of course his other prediction: Snape will end up as headmaster and Harry will teach DADA (we'll see if that one holds).
Oh and JK? You continually give my ship reasons to rejoice... this is not good as we all know we are the most unlikely and unseaworthy vessel ever made. plz stop k thnx... Also... I see the good ship RL/SB has taken a critical hit = P and I don't think that HP/SS shows much more promise... although I'm sure the Prince's book will become their bible o.0 of course my ship has the pesky problem of one RW... but I'm sure he can be dealt with = P
Oh and Harry/Ginny? <3 How cute is that? (It kind of messes up the DM/GW and DM/HP shippers though.)
