The inauguration made me very happy. It was fun to watch it with most of the developmental biology department. People cheered when Obama promised money for science. I know it has been a while since it was decided but I find myself wishing lately and very much so to run away with you. As always I will put arsenic in the cookies and you can put cyanide in the tea, and that will make everything ok... because I really wish life was ok again just like it was back then.

My friend Matthieu is brilliant, and not because he is getting a Ph.D. in something to do with radiowaves and microcircuitry and many other things that make my head spin.
