God and I are getting there, it's just a very long, painful road. I've never found comfort in going to mass or church gatherings, I'm a private person. Religion and faith are personal things, we're all judged individually after all. I don't like just accepting things because someone says so, and in doing that I question my faith, but it's stronger because of it. Organized religion and I are pretty much done though. To throw in some Buddhism, which I regard as more of a lifestyle or philosophy, the middle path is neither indulgence or denial.
One thing about the love though, when you lose it, are you going to lose God too? Maybe it's my self reliance speaking here, but, it seems to me that a relationship would only be quick fix.
I think going back to school would be good for you, I think you need to branch out and take a variety of courses. In knowledge I've found understanding, and in a sense God. God to me happens to be more of an abstract idea rather than a single entity.
