Laridian - did you hear that they're going to be doing a new HD version of Grim Fandango? Apparently it'll be on PS4 and PS vita at first, but someone said that they'll be looking at other platforms.

I'm at work, so can't look up anything gaming related, but I thought it was important news!

Seriously, I love GF to bits, and it would be cool to see one in a better resolution - but I also worry... I wonder if it would be like the "special editions" of Monkey Island, where they just reskinned them but the game was completely the same underneath?

I forgot to investigate more, but I think it probably is going to be like that. Still, I've never actually played GF myself, and Stu'd love to show it to me in a better resolution.

You never know, maybe something more will come of it!

It's actually one of the games I never wanted to see a sequel to. Like a sequel to Casablanca, you know? It could only cheapen the original. ^_^

Now, if they used completely new characters to tell a separate story in the same setting, I could live with that. But GF ended so perfectly that there's no reason to bring back the original characters.

Yeah, from what I know of it, I think it could be a great *world* to tell other stories in, but it's better to leave those characters where they ended

Yeah!! It's the only thing out of E3 that's made me super excited so far. Though, I think they're doing a new Mass Effect game, which would be amazing
