I've wondered tha very same thing for a long time. And the Twilight series was the ultimate WTF of this. If they're invincible, how come they haven't taken over yet?

And didn't Matrix do that already?

And _why_, exactly, would some vampires want to save humanity... if not in order to take out the current head honchos and thus gain a bigger feeding pool for themselves? And the humans aren't figuring this out? Or are they counting on then being able to take out their erstwhile allies afterwards?

Oh yeah, I forgot - these are Angsty Vamps who want nothing more than to be human again. *slap forehead*

Well, that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture. May have something to do with my scope of interest... XD

(Then again, whoever said all scifi must be grave and intelligent and serious?)
