Oh goodness, once again I got a prompt which left me pretty much clueless, but when I started asking myself questions about the relationship between Erin and Dimitri an enormous flood of things came out. (I wish the flood had started sooner so I could've done a few more drafts, but it's not really Yuletide if it's not last-minute, is it

Oh, B, I loved this! Brava!

I really liked Erin, in spite of her interloper status and de trop (but fabulous) hairstyles. I appreciate you fleshing her out here, showing her as a careerist with a conscience and curiosity. I loved the exchange at the end between her and Dmitri. With your writing, I could almost see them ending up together one day (which they thankfully steered away from on the show; I don't think they could have pulled it off). Beth and Tariq ring true here, too, making this such a good glimpse at life post-SHP.

Thank you! I'm so pleased you liked it, and doubly pleased that you could see potential shippage in it. (My recipient does ship them, but I found I couldn't write them together until I'd sorted out how they negotiated the minefield of rank/regulations/loyalties/deaths between them... which of course became the fic.)
