If I say, "Next Weekend", does it imply the upcoming weekend or the weekend after?

I'm curious to know what people think.

Next, is the one after it.

The upcoming weekend is "this weekend"; the following weekend is "next weekend". This applies even throughout the current weekend. Once thw weekend is over, it's "last weekend".

The weekend after. Unless you're in the middle of a weekend, in which case it's the coming one. ~E
