The car slid to a stop, just feet from the studio door. B.H. glanced at his mirror before hopping out -

I LOVED This! So amazing to think of our characters in stories as actors in the wing so to speak:) I love how you took a "tired" beginning type prompt and instead of using it as has been done for centuries, you came up with this clever whimsy.

Thanks! To be honest this was one of those times in which I was unsure if the story worked. I was kinda going out on the weird alt-reality limb. But judging by the feedback so far, I seem to have done all right. Glad you liked it. =)

I was distracted with the initials but I liked the story once I figured it out. Very creative to have it be his fever talking.

That was one aspect of the story I hoped wouldn't lose people, the Boy Hero (and Girl Hero) which represent the child's own investment in the story, as witness, lead character or a combination of both. I went with the initials so that his title wouldn't confuse anyone into thinking it was a superhero story (in the costume-comics sense).
