I really enjoyed this! You've got a deft hand for world building, and the characters weren't eclipsed by the setting at all (which is always a challenge when you've got some elements of the weird to work in). Neat!
Thanks! You can credit whatever I picked up from reading Heinlein and P.K.Dick for helping me see a world from the inside and communicating it from that perspective. Plus the boy-wants-to-impress-girl is fairly universal and something I can personally relate to.
awww. i really liked this. good worldbuilding, totally believable characters, even a little shakespeare. i was reading it feeling kind of bad for lee, but i get the impression he'll be just fine.
Thanks. Remembering a bit of how it was like to be a teen, I just put those feelings and actions in a slightly more exotic locale. Yeah, I think Lee will be all right.
