Cleverly intersected. You two did a great job on this mer-people story! I enjoyed how you built a culture beneath the sea, religion, if you will. The net was inspired! And "fry" made me LOL.
Thanks! I had Tsuki come up with the initial concept, which was her encounter story, so I opted for something from the point of view of the mer-person. With the coast being on the Baltic Sea, next to Scandinavia, that sent me looking for Norse legends, and thus the sea-goddess Ran and her net for catching drowning sailors (or to drown sailors, depending on how you interpret it). Her Nine Daughters are also part of the lore, and of course I would go and choose the one with the hardest name to spell. =)
