Life is a tad challenging at the moment. Several family members are going through really tough times, and while we can help some, we've had to make some heart-rending decisions about others. I know it was necessary, but I hope it doesn't lead to an estrangement. I suspect the repercussions will be long-lasting, unfortunately

I hope your family issues work out for the best for all concerned; and that your mother will be okay. I also have parental health concerns (unsurprising - we are both at the age where this tends to happen) and so I sympathize a lot. But I'm lucky in that I have a brother living closer by, and don't have to handle it alone - I wish you strength!
