And I'll second that Woohoo with a very loud and excited SQUEEEEEEE!!!

I can go out and about and actually come home without a sore throat, feeling choked up and with the nasty smell of fag smoke in my clothes and hair.

I don't want to wish a year of my life away but I can't wait until 2007 ^_^

Seriously, no idea why smokers are making a such a fuss :P

You can go to the pub and step outside to smoke mate, like, a couple of steps outside.

Non-smokers currently can't go to the pub and NOT smoke.

I honestly think that when the ban comes into affect it's really not going to have that huge an impact on smokers, despite what they currently think.

Would you seriously not come to the pub with some mates if you had to step outside for a smoke? You're happy to have to do it when you come to our place, because you know me and Marie don't smoke. Just as I'm happy to come over to your place, knowing that I'll have to inhale smoke because you and Tammy smoke. But that is a choice, you can come here, or I can come to yours each place has a different smoking rule... But currently, if I don't want to inhale smoke, I CAN'T go to a pub. And it's even worse for people that have breathing difficulties in the first place.

So member s of 'the cigar smoking club of great britain' have to go outside for a smoke now?

It's pretty effing lame. Private clubs should be exempt.

Pub owners actually requested that Private Clubs were included in the ban. If they were not, it would mean that less people would go to pubs in favour of private clubs and that if a ban was brought in, it should be a total ban.

I'm really pissed off about it. The fact that you can't light a cigar in a private club which you have chosen to join is a disgrace to civil liberties.

Private clubs - I actually don't care, I'm not a member of any and I wouldn't want to join one that permitted smoking.

Pubs however is great news.

It's a Rights issue as regards clubs. Once again individual rights get shat on from height.
