I feel just like a proud little mother hen whenever I see someone making a post like this. *pats you on the head* :D
YES! Loose leaf is WAY better than anything you'll EVER find in a teabag. And those new Lipton ones where they claim to have 'loose leaf in a bag'? Don't let that fool you. I'll admit I haven't actually tried them and they're probably a marginally better quality, but... It's still only a bag. (And if it's in a bag it's not loose anymore dammit! If it's in a bag it's bagged!)
LOL! Yes, I'm very happy. I've actually always enjoyed reading your tea entries. You helped get me more than a little intrigued!
I am honestly so surprised with the flavor. I just really didn't realize, and I'd say a lot of people don't until they give it a try.
I actually haven't tried those lipton pyramid bags either. I think because I knew enough about tea already to know that if it's loose, it needs room to bloom. It can't bloom in a bag! I'm ever the skeptic I guess.
Eeh! Ooh! Aah! *smooch* Yes it does! That's exactly what it does. That's why I prefer to brew my tea with the leaves swimming freely about in the pot. My pots have this filtery thingi at the spout that keeps most of the leaves inside when pouring. If you get your hands on some rolled leaves (shaped like little beads like Jasmine Pearl for example, or whole leaf tea like an oolong, try brewing it directly in a white cup or a glass. Then you can really see the leaves unfurling (I ought to take pictures of this!). I found myself the other day just staring dumbly into my gaiwan as the jamine pearls slowly opened up. :p
A lot of people can't get over the fact that teabags are easier. Then, when they 'graduate' to buying loose leaf teas a lot of people tend to invest in those little metal or mesh teaballs. Bad idea, because they still don't give the tea space to unfurl. I don't understand why they don't buy filters instead. They work just the same, they provide a little better space for the leaves and they don't require washing up.
I actually don't have a pot yet, so I have been brewing my tea in one cup, and then straining it to another for now. I want a tea pot badly, and am going to be getting one in the next few days. I actually saw a clear tea pot the other day, and seriously considered buying it because I thought it would be really neat to watch the leaves! You should definitely take pictures of the tea brewing, that would be a really neat thing for everyone to see

If I'm going to be getting anything from Starbucks, I generally go for the Chai tea. It is just so yummy. You can also get it as a Frappuccino, and that is really tasty too.
Well, I wanted something spicy, not to mention I'm trying to stay away from coffee of any kind. After the last couple of times I've had cafe con leche and had a tummy ache, I decided to just stay away. I didn't want anything warm, since it was hot today and I walked to the book store, so the lady made it for me on ice. Next time though I'll get the Frappuccino though. I haven't had one for a while. Actually, maybe I'll just get myself a carton of the chai tea.

Spooky!!!
LOL, I love tea. And I had some Chai tea myself today at B&N. It's so wonderfully relaxing to have a nice warm cup of tea in the evenings.
