Oh....bollocks.

I just woke in some dark recess of the library, apparently having slept through Potions and Charms. The three feet of parchment I'd been labouring on is now useless, both due to tardiness and the fact that most of the ink has transferred itself to my face as I slept facedown on it. Oh gods, I tried to scourgify the ink from my ( Read more... )

The same unfortunate thing happened to me once when I tried to remove some ink from my nose; I had to get Madame Pomfrey to fix the freckles that time, however, so I really can't tell you for certain.

Have you tried a finite incantatem? Or perhaps a restoration spell? If that Hermione Granger girl is still around, perhaps she knows of something that could help. It might be better to know for sure what you are doing rather than hazarding a guess.

I apologise, Ginny, for not being in the least bit helpful. I do hope you get to the rest of your classes on time, though. I know how difficult O.W.L year can be.

I tried finite incantatem already, to no avail. I tried prior incantato, but whatever my wand got covered in seems to be making it continue to malfunction. Maybe a bit of wand cleaner will do the trick, but I refuse to walk about the castle this way. I'll just have to wait until someone comes to help me. Oh well, I'm getting all my homework done, at any rate.

Yes, O.W.L. year can definitely be stressful, but it's not all bad.

Like Percy said, you should definitely try a Finite Incantatem before anything else. If that doesn't work, maybe you should try an Inquino; it's the opposite of a Sourgify. But then again, if the hellebore has something to do with it, maybe you shouldn't try any spells right now. I wonder if there's another plant that counteracts hellebore? Perhaps you should ask Neville on that one. Better yet, you could just make a run for the Hospital Wing; Madame Pomfrey should be able to fix whatever may have happened with no trouble at all.

Oh, no!

I can bring down my scarf, if you like; you could wrap that around your face while you make your mad dash to the hospital wing.

People may think you're a bit nutters, but you could always say it was a dare!

Ooh, could you? Maybe we could figure out a Disillusionment spell as well, to get me there unnoticed. Have you done those in preparation for your N.E.W.T.s? I hear they're quite complicated.

Actually, I think we're doing them in a few months... But I'm on my way. Sit tight, Ginny.

Actually, the situation's been righted, but, er, thanks very much. I'm sure the image has been seared into an unfortunate First Year's brain that happened upon me hiding in the stacks. Poor thing. He turned paler than I was..
