Gods, but it's good to be back at Hogwarts. Seeing everyone again after being holed up in the Burrow all summer was excellent. Mum got me a kitten for making Prefect, everyone say hello to Hestia Stockmuffin (Luna named her, don't ask. You should have heard it before Neville toned it down a bit...). I hope she and Crookshanks get on. I think ( Read more... )

Be careful, Ginny. Malfoy and his cronies still my choose to harass you.

I will. Some things never change, do they? Ah well, perhaps this year will be different, now that You-Know-Who is out in the open again. At least, I hope things will be different.

No, people tend not to change. It takes something dramatic to do that.

I hope they'll be different too. We can only hope.

Has Hestia decided whether she is a Ms., a Dr., or a Professor¿ I wouldn't want to offend her.

I think she may be a Professor, Luna, but not until her later years. Right now she's most definitely a Ms., little prissy thing. Ooh! She's got hold of my wand again!

Oh... she isn't a squib then?

Er, no, I don't think so...Crookshanks seems to tolerate her, and that's good enough for me. That's a cute pig, Luna, is it yours?

All of us, Professor, save the twins. Not that they really aspired to it in the first place. You're quite welcome, and I mean it. I feel much safer knowing that you're here. Looking forward to your class very much!!

Ginny, sorry I missed you on the train. Maybe we could go for a walk or something later today? After my blasting headache goes away?

Yes. Well. That's all right. I did look for you, you know. Let's eat lunch tomorrow together, yeah? I've hardly had a chance to talk to you thus far.

Yeah, okay that sounds good. Maybe go for a walk later too?

A walk sounds lovely, down by the lake, perhaps? I'd like Hestia to get some air, she's running positively wild locked up in Gryffindor Tower..Give you too a chance to get acquainted. Maybe you can explain more about football as well? I'm rather confused at this point.

Oh, Hestia is a lovely name. I think Crookshanks rather likes her, too, though it doesn't seem very obvious, does it? I think he has taken on a paternal role with her... it's rather amusing.

Harry's summer really wasn't all that pleasant, so don't take it personally. He should hopefully warm up again over the next couple of days.

Oh, asking Lupin to help in the DA is a wonderful idea. If you don't see him first, I'll be happy to bring it up. Maybe we can ask Harry to talk to him.

No worries, Hermione, I know he's had a tough time this summer. I hope we can start up the D.A. again soon. Do ask Professor Lupin for us, that would be wonderful. It'd be like having two classes with Professor Lupin. Imagine all the defensive spells we could learn!
