Audition

I have an audition for a choir tonight at 6:30. Specifically, CDD and I am both excited and nervous to get the chance to sing under the conducting of Maestro Iwan Edwards. When I heard they had an opening I asked, and he replied with positive enthusiasm.

Now the big question...What do I choose as my song? Currently tossing between

Strange, they are there. The first is Down to the River to Pray by Alison Krauss (with Robert Plant)and the second is Way Down Deep by Jennifer Warnes and Leonard Cohen.

As I've said below, I ended up choosing a third choice song as I heard it on the way. I should know the results of today by tomorrow.

Also, one can never have enough Odin images in one's comments. :)

Yeah, I love love love that song. Particularly that version as well since the music is minimal so you really get the full effect of Karen Matheson's stunning voice. And then there are the lyrics, which are equally spactacular. Here's the english translation:

I ended up choosing a third song, Dream a little dream of me, because I felt some, umm possibly divine, intervention on the way to the audition as I heard the song.

I should know the results by tomorrow.
