you should totally go! you can charge whatever you want. so you're right, just roll the tax into the prices. just figure out where an ATM is in the buidling so you can tell people with only plastic. make a sign! you're crafty. make some little flyers with your address, what you sell, your classes and stuff. you could drum up some business for the slower summer months ahead. is it on saturday or sunday?

It'll be a good experience for you. Lots of people do the low-tech cash box thing. Velvet absorbs water but it shouldn't get damaged by it.

Thanks Margaret! It wasn't raining this morning so I went with the velvet. It's not plaid and it fits well, what more do they want? Plus I'm wearing heels today (not that I need to be any taller), so I hope I get bonus marks for that (and hopefully not a broken ankle)... :)

It's ALL weekend, Friday night 6-9, Saturday and Sunday 10-6... But you're right, I have some nice medium-weight unbleached cotton I could paint my store name on, I think I can borrow a table, and flyers aren't too hard to make up quick.... *sigh* why is work so much work? ;)
