Comic of The Week
One of the best weeks ever. There weren't any weak books, and listing the comics that were merely "decent" wouldn't take as long as listing the ones that were great. Still, the great ones are the more interesting, so here we go. You'll forgive me if I'm a bit short.

Screenshot time
Lots of Linux forums have monthly screenshot threads, so I tend to change the look of my desktop more or less monthly too. Most of the time, a month is as long as I can look at the same wallpaper.
I like this one a lot though. Very soothing.

Comic of the Week
An okay week. Nothing really bad. Some observations:
- Amazing Spider-Man is incredibly frustrating. They publish three-issue arcs now, and to me it seems the first promising two issues are always followed by a bit-of-a-letdown third. Another thing that irks me is that this character, which used to have a HUGE backstory, now has none at all.

AWESOME reading material the last couple of weeks, which makes up for the first shitty weeks of 2008.

Comic of the Week
2008 worries me...comics haven't been very good till now. The best comics I read this week were all the Spidergirl issues (116 of them), which is Spiderman done right.
Amazing Spidergirl #16 is very good this week too, but Fell #9 came out. This series, written by Warren Ellis, doesn't come out nearly enough, but that's because Ellis is writing ( Read more... ) -

Spiderman
"One more day" makes baby Jesus cry.
I HOPED that Brand new day would be something like Spiderman now, only without the marriage. Now it seems like it's just a rboot to 20-30 years back. It makes as much sense as Poochie going back to his home planet in Itchy and Scratchy.

My father is discovering the internet
I've been blessed with good parents. They're divorced, unfortunately (as a child, you can't help to be a bit sorry about that, even though I'm divorced as well), but they seem to be doing okay. I love them both as much as any child can love his parents ( Read more... )
