I hope you find somewhere new downtown to adopt as your very own. Indianapolis isn't too tiny, I bet...there are probably neat little places socked away in back alleys. Try not to make friends too quickly and ruin everything when you find one, ey? ;)
Thanks for the comment on my entry, too. I know what you mean about staying street-level when visiting NY with people who know it well...I have to always remind myself to look at it with open eyes, and peer around all the corners like a sneaky tourist.
And I'm looking forward to seeing stuff you draw!

You don't have a car. You've been to all the places in town that you can get to without a car. You need to go up north a bit on College to get to those places that people you don't already know are. Like the Red Key, Moe and Johnnys, Aristocrats. Or farther up to Broadripple.
Or more East to the hick/ghetto bars. Or go to the Emerson, J. Clydes, the Tick Tock (not to be mistaken for the Tip Top).
But, don't forget...there are places downtown that you probably haven't thought of...such as-Olives, Nicky Blaines, Bourbon Street, Howl at the Moon, Ike and Jonesy's, and any number of restaurants...what about the new tapas place?
