[People ought to start checking their pockets when they wake up here. The communicator's broadcast seems to suggest that the device is being left behind as the new arrival strides down the temple steps to take a look around his new surroundings. Conveniently, it gives a clear view of his back - red hair, white sleeved arms, long black cloak edged ( Read more... )

[ It doesn't take very long for Ange to realise that this is yet another newcomer's first (accidental) post. How many of them had been showing up lately anyway? It was almost getting a bit uncanny-- ]

[ And while she goes over that in her thoughts she stops abruptly when she notices just who the arrive is. At the first glimpse of that red hair she feels her breathing stop for just a slight moment, enough for her eyes to grow wide and her thoughts to spin out of control.

Sure, she had quite the surprise earlier this week when Beatrice had showed up (as usual as a troll in a cloud of butterflies), but for Battler to appear here too now, Battler who she hadn't seen since she had sacrificed herself for the sake of him being able to fight on, who she hadn't even been able to talk regularly as a little sister to a big brother since twelve years ago.. That surprise was just as bad. If not worse. ]

[ And then she realises it could be a trick. Another stupid, dirty and low trick by the Fae. After all, Ange was used to being tricked by now. Even if it the witches or even the girls in her old school who usually did it weren't here, it were the Fae now. Just looking for her to let her guard down for a moment only to rip the daydream apart again.

... Then again, she was fairly sure only the real Battler would be talking to people who weren't there like a complete idiot. Okay, to be fair, she did understand who Battler was trying to talk to, but to any regular person it probably looked like a moment of temporary insanity.

Having a first introduction like that would just be too typical for him. ]

[ She doesn't even bother with the communicator. Perhaps because part of her feels like he might just start shouting at the 'mysterious voice coming from nowhere' for at least a few minutes straight. And because she wants to make sure with her own eyes that he's really here. And most likely because she has longed to be with him again all this time, all these years ( ... )

[The man's face looks a little familiar for some reason....]

You've been brought to Demeleier, sir. We've all been kidnapped by the fae. Keep hold of the crown - it will help protect you from them.

[Battler's face looms! It's entirely unthreatening - his expression is more curious than anything else. Ange told him to pick this up, so...]

Is that so? Ah - [He grins. HARDLY ANYONE CALLS HIM SIR NOWADAYS.] - kidnapping? Sounds serious! I think I'm in safe hands for now, though.

Eheh - yeah, my little sister is here.

[Except she's not so little anymore.]

So, what about you? Are you one of those fairies she told me about, ihihihi?

[ ... Of course. She knew. It was only a matter of time before he either came here, or she left. Her place was by his side. She was, after all, born for him, and him alone. ]

[ And so, without warning, she disappears from where she is -- apearing in a flock of golden butterflies above him, only to start falling--

Well. She expects him to catch her. At the least, he wasn't useless enough where he didn't sense her nearby, right?

He wasn't so incompetent as to let her fall.... right....?

... Maybe she was overestimating him for once. ]
