Instead, he just gives a rueful laugh, and shakes his head.]

Once I'd have said exactly the same thing. But I know now. I've seen the truth of it. Love is just as powerful as anything else - in fact, it's the most powerful thing there is. It can bring people together, it can tear them apart. Worlds can be built on the foundation it forms, for better or worse.

Or - [settle in, this is going to be a ride,] you've come up with that to justify your own blinders. There's a lot of things that can bring people together, tear them apart, whatever. Love is just the most useless one.

Heh - I don't need to come up with it myself when I've seen the proof of it all around me. I refuse to believe that we'd find someone who has never, or will never, find themselves making a move on the board because of love.

[SUDDENLY, LEVIATHAN -- he's never going to get used to this, is he? But he recovers well after his flail, turning his (admittedly rather girlish) yelp of surprise into a cough.]

Aah - eheheh, Leviathan - [wait, that's not very leaderly of him. he straightens, fixing her with a smile. truth be told, he's pretty happy to see her.] - You've found me already? And you've just arrived? That's pretty impressive!

[She sobs a bit. At least she's not alone here! And her master is giving her a praise!]

He sobers up for the most part, however, to explain.]

We've been brought to a gameboard outwith our control - in fact, while we're here, we're little more than pieces. Things elsewhere are on hold for as long as we're stuck here.

[ Oh, it took a while but finally you're showing that cool side she asked you to show before she died.. remember that, Battler.. Either way, Ange knows that while her brother can be a gigantic idiot, he can be cool and useful when he has to be. And so she doesn't really doubt his reasoning as much as she might with any of his regular ramblings. Even though she can't agree with the judging the Fae thing - after all, Ange isn't one to trust quickly, not even when people show good intentions. ]

... A marriage quarrel. Honestly, did they have to drag us all the way here for something like that?

Yet.. how did you come to that conclusion, onii-chan? It's fairly obvious that their relationship isn't completely hostile or completely friendly, but.. to leap immediately to husband and wife is quite a big shot, right?

I know, I know, it seems a pretty big assumption to make, doesn't it? But I think I have a good case built! [He smiles, fleetingly, then looks at the camera sharply once again.]

First up, in the dreams that came in January, it was discussed that the Queen appeared with a black-eyed man. I may not have seen them myself, but everyone seemed to recall seeing that.

It's a flimsy sort of reasoning though, so let's back it up! Point two - in April, when there were bunnies and chicks everywhere, the Guardian and the Queen appeared side by side. They sang together and spoke to us about the season, together.

Since then, in the last round of those dreams, we saw the Queen reaching into his chest to pull out a crystal, and she told us she wanted a heart. I think that's pretty plain, don't you?

After that, I spoke to the Guardian myself. He all but confirmed that this is based on love! So, Ange - what do you think?

[ She pauses for a moment, as if she's considering it, but then gives a tiny nod. ]

Fine, I'm willing to accept that sort of reasoning for some sort of relationship related to love between those two to exist. But why would it be a marital bond exactly? Couldn't it just be some other sort of love?
