Well?

Well, we've officially graduated, though we won't be receiving our actual diplomas for a while.

It feels so... surreal. I don't believe it will actually sink-in until August, when we're all starting up our separate schooling.

Took a bike ride down to the Art Centre, today, to see about that modeling job they called me for. The Longboat Key and the ( Read more... )

I am going to make it to Swan Lake if it kills me, okay? i need to see you dance and it thoroughly depresses me that I haven't seen you in one ballet since I met you.
As far as the nude modeling goes: I understand Michael's concerns, but it's not like you'll be making off with any of those crazy painters and you're right, you do it all the time so why not get paid?
The checking account: I just started my own, and one big thing: Make sure you get a student checking account. It includes lots of free stuff and such. Also, don't get checks through the bank. They're cheaper online. Be patient while waiting for your card to come in, because it takes a while. I'm going crazy waiting for mine! And it's a good idea to have a job while you have it, just so it doesn't go dry the minute you start it.
Good luck on the job bits. I know it's far away, but if you want I can get you a job through KeyStaff. It's good money and really nice. We serve places like the Ritz, Hyatt, Colony.
I miss you T. I hope we can get together this summer.

*sigh* I know, but I'm seriously wanting to invest it, and I think it would be easier to keep track of how much I have/have spent if it's in a more... organized genre than cold cash.

oh yes, having an account is so handy. ESPECIALLY if you're working. because you'll need to cash checks somewhere. if you're wanting to invest get a savings account too. that way you can save interest too. having two accounts isn't a bad idea.

I swear, if I walk into my figure class one day and your modeling, I will shit a brick, and that would hurt. Congrats on graduation, btw. If you don't know who this is, its Rachel. As far as getting a check card, you can get one before your 18, you'll just need a parent to go with you. Its nice because most places you work can direct deposit your check into your account, saving a trip to the bank. I recommend bank of America, they are everywhere! Plus, they have student accounts. Plus, keeping track of funds is easy with their online banking.
PS. Where are you going to school this fall?

Bank of America. The online thing is awesome...you never have to balance a check book, and you can pay bills online with it too. They have a student checking that is good until you're 24 or something. ATMs are everywhere...even in NY *hint hint*

So what are your plans for college?? Are you moving out of your house???

just dont tell your dad that it's naked modeling. And I think Mike can overlook that part because he trusts you, and it's good pay. They might do couples if he's interested ;) I honestly think that you wouldn't run away with an artist. You love this guy to much :)

I miss you. you're coming up this summer right?
