 A)    "The Boat" written by Alistair Macleod demonstrates several references of intertextuality which include Thomas Hardy's character Eustacia Vye, Herman Melville's "Moby Dick" and a character by the name of Ham Pegotty from Charles Dicken's novel, " David Copperfield." Cindy I really enjoyed reading what you had to say about the boat. I like all the connections you made in the story that were not evidently obvious at first sight. I think you really took pride in what you wrote.

I'd never thought of The Sixth Sense as metafictional, but I think you're right!

My own "take" on the intertextual references in "The Boat" are that they're all about death by drowning, often involving suicide or sacrifice, and thus are the narrator's way of coming to terms with his father's death and possible suicide (implied, through these references, though never directly stated).
