1)     The theme of poet Don Mckay's "Icarus" is that of a young male defying the cautions of his father and then failing. The significance of Icarus's lack of remorse creates universality in the story as many young people feel a sense of invincibility, thus taking greater risks in life.This stage of life offers no apologies, just possible regrets. I appreciate what you said about the young feeling invincible. As you said their are no apologies when you are young. The second part of the poem really spoke to me about that fact. Maybe there is an oopps, I won't do it like that again! I also agree about the Matrix and Keanu Reeves,but I had to see the movie a couple of times till I got it.

I like your example of dystopia I have seen that movie many times and it never came to mind. Great choice and good example :)
