Awwww, that is so sweet! 30 years is a long time, not too many marriages seem to make it that far nowadays.

and big LOL at the story of when you were conceived. That's totally the story of my Dad. Parents married in June 1956 and dad was born in April the next year.

What are your parents doing to celebrate?

They took the puppy and a bottle of champagne to their friend's summer house on Crystal River.

I think they'll probably drink the champagne, play Scrabble and go to sleep with the dog between them.

And at least yours is a nice story... I was conceived because there was a huge blackout and Dad couldn't watch Star Trek, so there was nothing else to do. He should have taken that as a sign of things to come, huh? ;)

I wish it was a joke... That is really when my parents suspect I was conceived. And my Dad LOVES to tell that story, so there's no chance in hell of my ever forgetting it. :p

Well, it is slightly funny. My family doesn't ever talk or share stories like that, so for all I know I could have been a complete surprise. At least I'm not the child they had to try and keep the marriage together. :\ I've got that going for me.
