If you've got $750-$1000 in savings; put it into the car payment. Your car payment probably has a higher interest rate than the student loans. And the student loan interest is tax deductible.

hehe :) yeah I kind of figured that would be your advice....I think I'm going to buy a guest bed for my room and then keep the rest in my savings...I feel like this is a good way to split the money...
