I personally like attending concerts. I been to sooooo many concerts throughout my life time, So I have much experience.
I have been to multiple K-Pop concerts and rock concerts. Also But I never truly went to a rock/metal concert in Korea with just Korean artists.
RODFEST definitely changed that.
RODFEST was at the MUV Hall. The place was pretty spacious compared to the other places I have been to.
I have been to a few indie bands performances in Hongdae before. But this was a new experience~
When I first got there I wasn't sure how the show was going to play out. In my past experience, concert goers liked to mosh in the midst of everyone. I usually like getting a spot at the barricade but i stood of to the side at this one.
Once the concert started and I saw how things worked, I got closer to the stage. No moshing happened or any crowd surfing happened at first which was a good thing.
The bands that were performing were: Naty, Noeazy, Black Syndrome, Transfixion, Diablo, and Silent Eye.
There was a lot of rocking, screaming, and loud chanting for each group. But the crowd just got wilder and wilder as the night went on.
Most people seemed to know who Transfixion seemed to be. They played their music video and many fan girls started yelling and screaming.
They seemed to have a more mellow type music performance compared to the other bands. Which was a good change in between.
There were bands for all ages. The audience there was definitely a mix between the ages.
Everyone seemed to enjoy every band that came on stage and the bands seemed like they were enjoying the audience as well.
Everything when in chaos when Diablo came on. That type of atmosphere was the one I was used to.
Moshing happened and all sorts of crazy rock dancing.
It seems that rock concert culture is similar in different countries.
RODFEST was totally worth going to. Hopefully there will be more like them soon.
