1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.

(Of course, there's a slight problem with #1 in that homosexual unions, both strictly sexual and long-term partnering, have been observed in a huge variety of animals, so calling it "unnatural" requires even more denial of reality than most of the rest of the complaints against homosexuality...)
