Aww, thank you so much for a quick update. Another heartbreaking chapter. At this point I have no idea how they're gonna come back from this. But at the same time I just know that if there's anyone who can bring Neal back, it's Peter and El. So gripping, so well-written, just WOW! Thank you!

Thanks so much. Well, we know how Peter's "magic touch" brought Neal back from the dead in Hard Sell! (Who taught that man CPR??? Is a little mouth-to-mouth too much to ask???) But I digress ;) Glad you're still on board.

I love everything about this!
I'm not even past chapter one and i'm completely hooked. now, here we are at chapter three and i find myself clicking the "refresh" button, thinking that something is clearly wrong with the page loading... after all, IT CAN'T END LIKE THAT, can it?
I love this so much; i'm on the edge of my seat!

Rest assured that it's not going to end like this and that I'm not drawing out the posting to torture anybody (Well, except for poor Neal. Obviously). Work is pretty crazy right now and squeezing in a little time here and there to get the next few pages out is my own personal treat (and therapy). This gets better and better with each installment! You've set it up very nicely with Neal starting to cling to El but still wary of Peter. It will be all the sweeter when he finally turns to Peter for comfort, but I hope that is a long way off with many angst-filled chapters in between!

I know we're miles away from any canon, but IMO Neal has always had an easier time trusting and ingratiating himself with the women in his life. His nearly immediate attachment to El felt like the most likely option under the circumstances. Plus, it made me all warm and fuzzy to think about because it's simply super-cute ;)

Who cares about canon!? LOL I'm up for any situation that leads to tears and cuddles and I agree with you on the super-cuteness of his attachment to El. Keep it coming, please!
