Awwwww! You've just about undid me with that shower scene ♥ Neal sleeping peacefully in Peter's arms... and Peter spending the night in the shower under the spray of water just for Neal. This was so beautiful and heartbreaking ♥

Whenever a story is building in my head, it usually starts with one scene. After I have that snapshot, it's all about how to get the characters to that moment and how to move on from there. For Need it was all about the "shower scene": Peter at the end of his wits, not knowing what else to do for Neal, and Neal subconsciously entrusting himself to Peter's care and finding peace in his arms. I'm endlessly relieved that this scene resonates with readers. Okay, as of now I have a sample size of n=1 reader, but so far so good! ;) Thanks for the comment.

This is heartbreaking and the way you described what Neal went through without even giving any details - is like a punch to the gut. Really. This is wonderful. And I have to say, I am going to cry because I'm going on vacation near the end of the week! EEK! Well, I still hope to sneak on and read more of this masterpiece.

Thank you. I'm glad you like the story. Going forward, the objective will be to let Neal's head and heart catch up with his subliminal yearning for Peter's comfort. Just imagine lots of hugging and sobbing and cuddling while you're on your vacation!

Am loving this story it's heartrending and the pictures you create with your words are awesome. Please continue to update often. How many chapters do you have and is it complete?

The way the story is drafted now, there'll be 2-3 more installments, depending on where I decide to set the chapter breaks. I haven't written the very end of the story yet, but I have a very clear vision of it. I just have to make the time to write it down.

Loved this chapter. It was so gratifying to read the shower scene with Peter finally having a chance to let out some of his pent up need to comfort.

I'm so addicted to this story but will try to hold out until week's end for the next fix.
