I rue the day I agreed to join the high council... what started out as a good idea has been whittled down to a whole ton of piecemeal labour in exchange for fuck all... Micro management at its finest, indeed ( Read more... )

Finish what you agreed to. If you have not committed past the two events, that would be the time to withdraw.

My suggestions:
1) Talk to the person who is causing the problem.
2) If that doesn't help, speak to the other executives as a whole.
3) No resolution? Take it to the membership.

Have you raised the issues with the whole group? If this is an organization that includes members, elected positions etc, the proper thing to do is bring the issue to the membership. A problem cannot be resolved unless it is known. Let democracy do it's job.

If nothing changes, then tender your resignation.

If you don't wish to raise the issue, then leave without saying why. Otherwise you will just create unnecessary drama and does not allow the person you are upset with a chance to respond or change.

Just my two cents.

Hahaaa yeah, YOU know what I'm talking about! I'm through trying to work my way around the problem... Gonna finish up the projects I started and then I'm done... already said so... just don't have the time or wherewithal to try to take a leadership role... I'll be happy to attend the events and if they want to consult with me, they're welcome to do so. For a fee. Of at least a girlie drink. Or five.
