Yeah, folks.. I know it's been a long time... almost a full year.. well.. a couple of months off of a full year.. ::waves hands:: anyway.. Lost of stuff has happened since the last I've wrote.. hell, even since the last I logged on

I'm sorry things are so tough right now. I'll be praying for you, esp on the job front.
I know I don't really know the situ, but maybe it would be best for you and erika to get a two-bedroom apartment and leave dorothy to find her own place. the current situ doesn't sound healthy for anybody involved, and if it keeps up, you might lose your friendship with dorothy. and taking a two-bedroom apt (esp if it seems the best choice in other ways, like rent, room, location, etc) seems like a convenient excuse to do so w/out hurting dorothy's feelings unreasonably.
Yeah, we are looking into two bedroom apartments as well.. Though I find it incredibly... I don't know the right word for it... anyway.. if she does live by herself, I don't think she realizes how much stuff she doesn't have that she needs to continue to live the pampered life that she's living right now... hell, even the essentials like pots, plates/bowls, silverware, etc... ::sighs:: and your other comment about her losing my friendship? I really don't think it was there since junior year at Wilson. She pretty much alienated herself in a way senior year (which is a whole 'nother can of worms that I'm not getting into...).
The sad thing is, I don't know if, consciously, she realizes what she's doing to herself and those around her. And no matter how we tell her or how many times we tell her, she just won't or can't listen... ::shakes head:: It's like talking to a rock, unfortunately...

*Hugs* I'm sorry, that bites. It seems that Dorothy lives to cause trouble. It's hard to do, but I'd drop her butt. Just sayin'.
On the job front: is there any chance you could request some awesome letters of recommendation from the people who really thought you were a good worker? That might make a big difference in how people look at your work record. And keep trying: even if they're not willing to look at you now, maybe if you persist and/or offer to volunteer for a couple days to show you're capable they'll take you on.
