I'm getting new windows in my apartment today!!!
Also, does anyone know of any good (or really amazing phenomenal) deals on computers?
And is there any way to get Microsoft Word legally without all the other crap I'll never use?

I prefer Dell and they usually have some promotion going. Granted, it's a little pricey to begin with, so you may be better off going elsewhere.

Here's Microsoft's page that outlines what each product line has, but they have a couple smaller packages with only Word, Excel and Powerpoint or Outlook.

Don't forget to Google "Coupon AND Dell AND (Computer model)" I saved $300 that way on my laptop. You may want to save some money on a heavier hard drive by just getting a small internal one and a massive external elsewhere.

Why would you want a legal version of Word?

I thought that's what you're supposed to do! No one will fix my computer if I have illegal programs!

Yeah, but that's what you have computer nerd friends for. Phil helped me fix my illegal computer. Of course, the solution was to buy cool new stuff and burning the old crappy leftovers :)

I really hate the idea of buying it, but my Dad said that I had to, and he's usually right, and what if I moved to Hawaii and had no friends there? Or everyone was too busy surfing and eating pineapple to fix my computer?

No one is going to know your Office package is pirated. Also, it may be worth six bucks for a month trial to consumer reports to see what they say on laptops or desktops, whichever you're getting. I got mine from Dell (you should still check consumer reports) and after everything it was $1,200, which I used to replace my dying desktop.

HA! Good luck with that. If I find a deal that good, I'm going to buy them all myself and sell them on ebay.
