Know of any rad monsters? From any culture/time. Brainstorming for a sculpture.

What I've got so far:

Old Gregg.
Monstro.
3 headed elephant.
Tiki monster god things.
Chernabog.
[The Overlook hotel!]
Parasitic twins.
Something from a Terry Gilliam film.

Ghosts and demons count too, . . . anything! I want this to ROCK.

A good place to start is Borges's Book of Imaginary Beings (there's an illustrated version on line), though I'm a big fan of Japanese yokai (as a kid I devoured the Yokai Monsters films) and the Obakemono project is a good online index for that. I can put up a list of books if you're interested.

Oh, and if you put Old Gregg in there make sure he has some Bailey's.

The fawn from the film Pan's Labyrinth is pretty awesome & so is the weird guy with eyes in his hands...Hmm Pyramid Head from Silent Hill is also kind of sexy awesome. Hope this helps.

Do TELL, do TELL, how can I send you a copy of my work of epic musical art, that which goes by the name "Booty Booty Shake"? For some reason upon becoming reasonably shiny and warm online friends with you, I've felt it very important for you to hear the piece.

So think of some way to inject yourself a listen. Email it? Do tell!

If I were you to sculpt a something, I would say to watch and be inspired by:

1) The Rick Baker created transformation scene in An American Werewolf in London, which was perhaps the second most important experiences of my artistic life, next to...

2) The entierty of every special effects sequence in John Carpenter's The Thing. Rob Bottin's work in it is easily the greatest eye opening, mind mashing creative thing I've ever been blessed to witness.

Manage to hear Booty Booty Shake! You will regret nothing!
