Wow, way to lump everyone together and put the blame from the politicians onto them, and then underpay them and give them shit equipment!

Fuck that guy. I am not a big supporter of the military, because of the exact opposite reason of this guy - I have 4 family member at this time fighting for the basic benefits (PTSD support, wound care, etc) and have known a handful more who were fucked over after coming home. My uncle recently died, the 5th in his small group of friends who were all showered in Vietnam by AO, all dieing of the same rare brain cancer. Our troops are not guinea pigs, and they are not expendable! I get so angry at the military because I feel like we should not extend ourselves beyond our means - if we can't take care of our troops, we need to ask if we can afford the conflict. It;s like having 4 more kids when your other 12 are starving.

BAH. I didn't mean to rant there. It's just a sore subject in our family, and a sad one.

its funny, I also stumbled across you through Lindsay (providing its the same Lindsay, heartsncrafts) and like your public entries. I also recognize your username, which is what made me click on it. I think we had other mutual lj friends quite a while ago. I'm thinking Elle?
