I am almost done with my ruffly hoops, which is good cause I want to get cracking on this gown! I really should buy more ribbon to put ruffles down the the vertical tapes, but that would mean going to the fabric store again, which I just don't have time for. I love the ruffly hoops! The color's very pretty. Fun undies are always better! :) And I like the fabric for the gown, can't wait to see that!

That striped dress is neat, I don't think I've seen too many with an angle like that on the front of the bodice stripes.

And wow, you do have quite the list to finish before CosCon. Woo, 1840s! ;) And here I sit, twiddling my thumbs and wondering if I'll be able to finish two dresses for CosCon!

Thanks! The front of that dress was actually pieced and they said it was altered from an older dress, which is cool!

Ahh, that makes sense, then. I always love to see evidence they pieced so many things then, because it makes me feel better about piecing my own dresses when I screw up! ;)

Those ruffly hoops are so cute!

And if you don't mind my asking, who is the ebay buyer you bought the gown fabric from? I've been looking for similar fabric, and even though you bought all of that one, maybe they would have something else I would like. :)

I love the hoops :D My tapes aren't permanently attached to the waist band, they end in loops. Works really well, and I don'thave to worry about fluctuations in waist size ;)

Thanks! Inspired by yours of course! That's good to know though, I just worry about them shifting around while dancing or something, though I'm going to leave the very back two undone so it's easier to get on.
