Bad lighting and I should have used a smaller weave backing. Oh well live and learn!

Oooh...yay pinball!
I'm so tempted to go and make one.
Say, what are you using for the pinball "frame"?

It's really fast and easy! I'm not using a frame at all because the fabric is pretty stiff and I read that since it's straight lines it's not as subject to distortion as other kinds of embroidery. Makes sense a little. This also makes it easy to hold and work. :) But like I said, I wish I'd used something with smaller weave. It's good for a beginning project though because it's easy to keep things even (for the most part! ;P). I'm just worried it's going to be difficult to get it into "ball" shape. :) Might be a pin cushion instead, guess we'll see!

Thanks! I just got a bee in my bonnet that I wanted to learn flame stitch and that I also wanted a pinball! :) It's a super portable project too! It's in a little coin-type purse in my purse. ;) And I think Sarah's wallet inspired me!

That looks lovely so far~ I need to finish the pinball I started quite a while back, since I'm so close to done. I saw you said your canvas is pretty stiff, and what I used is too, so what I did when I made something else shaped with it is I got it soaking wet and then let it dry over something close to the final shape, so that might work for you too, since it's all cotton.
