So it's hitting me.  Gradually, but it's hitting me.  I knew it would happen, because I've been through this before.  It can be brief or sometimes drawn out.  It's not always sad.  And even when it's sad, it's not ALL sad.  Every one is happy to leave SOME thing behind.  So twice this week it occured to me that I am LEAVING St. Paul, not just GOING ( Read more... )

They say that every exit is an entrance somewhere else, but they usually forget to say "and vice versa." I am sure that we'll visit the Twin Cities, so you won't have to say goodbye to anybody for good. And everybody procrastinates packing, but everybody gets moved somehow or other. It will all work out.

I am looking forward to 13 days, 1 hour, and 59 minutes from now.

I love you, honey! I hope you don't take it the wrong way when I post about this stuff. You know I am super excited about moving to Madison. I just forgot the OTHER emotions involved as well.

It is understandable that you would be going through a variety of emotions. After all, although we make out like bandits by gaining you, people up there get the fuzzy end of the lollipop by losing you! Oh well, we'll take good care of you. I am psyched that you'll be here soon. Let me know if you need help moving in!

Do you mean the 9th? You said two weeks, but that's more like 4 weeks. In any event, if it's the 19th, I definitely can't. I already have two competing commitments that day, one of which I have to back out of. I'll either be in Ohio with Andrea for a reunion of a singing group she belonged to in school, or I'll be in Janesville helping Matt work at an exhibit for his family's sword company at a renaissance faire.

So that means Matt can't help either. DARN IT!

No, I mean the 19th. I am moving to madison on the 6th with just a suitcase and then going back to get my stuff on the 19th since we can't get into the house until the 15th.
